The Family Tree of James Edward Tuck, Jr.

"Our Family Is Like The Branches Of A Tree,
We May Grow In Different Directions
Yet Our Roots Remain As One,
Each Of Us Will Always Be A Part Of The Other."

TUCK Family Research

My family history is not in any sense unique. In fact, it is probably typical of most American families.

The story begins with the arrival of ancestors on this continent from the Old Country in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries; moves to the original thirteen colonies of America; takes us through the American Revolutionary War; the expansion movement through the thirteen colonies; and the settling of the West. We will get a taste of what it was like for Virginia Planters, what happened in the Civil War days when brother fought against brother; and get a glimpse of migration paths and finally through two World Wars, and on up to where we are now.

Yes, it is a typical story, but one that cannot be told too often. We have no way of knowing exactly where we are going in this life, but we have no excuse for not knowing where we have been.
